PPA joins Minister for Health and Aged Care, the Hon Mark Butler MP at Press Club

Ahead of next week’s Federal Budget, it was terrific to join the Minister for Health and Aged Care, the Hon Mark Butler MP at the National Press Club of Australia yesterday, together with our clients and friends, Carrie Fowlie from

Hepatitis Australia, Ken Griffin from the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA), Nicole Gaupset from Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Ben Harris from the Australian Self-Care Alliance and Chris Campbell from the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia.

In his first address in the portfolio, the Minister outlined his plans for:

       Medicare and the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce

       Smoking, tobacco control and taxation and vaping

       Hospital funding

       Digital health and My Health Record

       Primary health and nursing clinical placements

       Vaccines and the National Immunisation Program

       Lung cancer screening, and

       First Nations health
